Laura McDowall

Laura McDowall plans, conducts and analyzes human factors research at ClariMed and develops the documentation that supports device submissions. She works across the full design lifecycle, with particular strength in human factors strategy planning and end-stage design outputs. Laura has 12 years of human factors experience, beginning in safety-critical systems where she focused on the interactions between people, plant and process before moving into medical devices. She has run research with a wide range of intended users, including patients, healthcare professionals and vulnerable user groups, and has particular experience in chronic conditions such as diabetes. Laura holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Cardiff University and an MSc in Ergonomics from Loughborough University.
