Marina Nysten-Kanyal

Marina Nysten-Kanyal is a Human Factors Consultant at ClariMed, with a background that spans human factors engineering, product commercialization, and healthcare innovation. She holds a Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and a BSc in Physiology and Psychology from McGill University, a combination that grounds her work in both how devices function and how people use them. Before joining ClariMed, she built the human factors pipeline at Sentec, a patient monitoring and respiratory therapy device company, leading usability evaluations and use-related risk analyses that supported multiple FDA 510(k) clearances and CE markings. Marina moderates formative and summative evaluations, develops the documentation behind regulatory submissions, and focuses on making devices intuitive, safe, and ready for the clinical environment.
