ClariMed's strategic vision for global expansion has taken a significant step forward with the official launch of our expanded Cambridge, UK facility. As highlighted in a recent feature by Business Weekly, this purpose-built facility at Copley Hill Business Park in Babraham has rapidly grown to become our largest lab facility, effectively establishing a UK headquarters for our operations.

Human-Centered Approach Driving Innovation

The new Cambridge facility, which includes a fully operational surgical suite, represents our commitment to an integrated approach to medical device development. As Louisa Harvey, Principal and Harvey Medical founder, explains in the article: "Our expansion across the UK directly responds to what we're hearing from clients – that the traditional siloed approach to medical device development is no longer sustainable."

This expansion is a testament to our dedication to accelerating time to market, improving safety, and enabling innovation for pharma and MedTech teams through human-centered design principles.

Strategic Global Presence

Since our founding in 2022, ClariMed has grown rapidly to include 65 employees across five offices. The Cambridge facility adds 10,000 square feet to our global footprint, making it our second-largest facility after San Jose. The expansion includes simulation labs and second-floor gallery viewing rooms, with plans to add a home simulation centre in phase 2 of development.

As CEO Kelley Kendle noted at the launch event: "With this purpose-built Cambridge facility, we're able to create authentic use scenarios across diverse healthcare settings, generating insights that will enhance the development of the most innovative devices and ensure they are designed to meet the needs of both healthcare professionals and patients."

Building on Strong Foundations

Our Cambridge presence began with the acquisition of Harvey Medical in January 2023, a strategic move that provided ClariMed with local expertise and expanded our capabilities in the UK's innovation ecosystem. This acquisition, following our founding with the purchase of UserWise LLC in San Jose, has created a unique end-to-end user-centered platform approach to medical device design, development, and accessibility on a global scale.
